Urban Retreat Living Room Review | Way of life

With travel restrictions that seem to stick in place all summer and UK hotels already full until the fall, a spa break in the city is (hopefully) a foolproof option. Urban Retreat in Knightsbridge is a one stop shop for all your R&R needs. The Townhouse, a former aristocratic mansion, has you covered for hair, beauty and wellness, right down to food and drink with the addition of the new Holy Carrot herbal restaurant, which serves food without additives, refined sugars and gluten. We started a visit with a restaurant lunch, tasting one of their super juices, an incredible Isle of Wight tomato ceviche, which was so fresh and full of flavor it tasted like a holidays, and crispy quinoa-based makis, stuffed with vegetables and served with a spicy mayo.

Once you’ve filled your insides with vitamins, it’s time to go upstairs and work on your exteriors, whether it’s a visit to the nail salon and brow bar or to get new lashes and waxing. laser. You can basically get anything and everything under the sun here. We headed to Angelo Seminara hair salon for a haircut and brushing; the living room is super airy and feels a lot more personal and boutique with only a handful of chairs. Gianmarco was our stylist and he didn’t disappoint, working his magic on our bonce and giving us some really nice new bangs.

We unfortunately had to go back to work so couldn’t get a tattoo or ear piercing before we left, but if you’re looking for a place for a cheeky CT for your body or to spend a Saturday with the girls, Urban Retreat is a great place to go. nice little corner.
