If you haven’t been to Beau Rivage Casino and Resort in a while, you might be thrilled with some of the changes you’ll find there.
The holiday decorations are spectacular, and that alone is worth a stroll through the main lobby. If you can make it before Christmas, be sure to look into the atrium, where you’ll find a life-size Santa Claus, a sleigh, and all the reindeer circling around your head. It’s quite impressive and the kids will love it.
But the Beau is also a great place to grab a quick grab-and-go snack, perfect for the holiday rush. Sounds crazy, right? But the Beautiful has a new mobile app that makes ordering takeout quick and easy, and with all catering options, the possibilities are almost endless.
I recently visited the Beau and was impressed with the changes, and really impressed with the new format of Snacks, the restaurant next to the BetMGM Book Bar and Grill. Snacks is as close to fast food as you’ll find in a casino, is easy to get to, and still maintains the high standards for which all Beau Rivage restaurants are known.
Snacks are open on the main casino floor, so it’s not a place for a whispered conversation. But if you want a quick snack or to go, it’s perfect. The menu includes a take-out section with a selection of salads, sandwiches and sides pre-prepared and in a refrigerated case.
The main menu is packed with America’s most popular sandwiches and, to my delight, also has a full half-pound hot dog, a pretty hard-to-find option in southern Mississippi. The sandwiches include a classic Reuben, one of my all time favorite sandwiches. It’s made with fresh corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, thousand island dressing and pickles on rye bread. Another favorite is the French dip with au jus on a sub roll.
One of the best sellers is the Southwestern sandwich, which is made with ham or chicken, bacon, shredded lettuce, tomato, pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo, and a pickle. It’s simply delicious and filling.
There are nearly a dozen sandwiches on the menu to choose from and other great things to eat. Discover okra, chicken noodle soup, nachos and prepared salads.
Le Beau is still a great place to visit, but with the mobile take-out option, it’s even better.
