Dubai – Register for happening restaurants in the city
Let’s read this story backwards. There are no spoilers here, just tons of delicate sweetness, if you might call it the festive dessert platter. We’re at the Weslodge Saloon, JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai, enjoying the special Christmas menu, and overwhelmed by the choice of desserts on offer, almost wishing we left a little more room in our festive bellies, and it’s from someone who doesn’t have a sweet tooth. Speaking of the show first and foremost, the Mince Pie, loaded with dried fruit, spices, and sugar, of course, sports buttery (but flying) layers of a flaky crust. Since they say that the pie makes everyone happy; this increased the quotient by a notch. In tight competition, the macaroons, clouds of joy, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. More cheerfulness came from the spoonfuls of shiny and smooth chocolate mousse. Before returning to the area, let’s take a moment to absorb the magnificent view of Dubai from the lavish 68th floor setting we are in, with string trees and festive lights. Once we’re done capturing the city lights on our cameras, we dive into the Festive Turkey – a healthy and colorful offering of toppings and well-done, chewy and tender turkey. Brussels sprouts are another favorite. The hazelnut parsnips left us wondering if they were sweet potatoes, while the tangy, sweet and juicy cranberry sauce was the perfect garnish. Vegetarians can choose the truffle and burrata risotto as an alternative.
Now, we often risk neglecting salads at a festive meal, but not here. Because we savored the fresh preparations for the Weslodge chop, the quinoa salad and the zucchini salad; at one point we couldn’t stop eating the tomato and feta salad! Now that we get back to the beginning of the story, it is time to plan a site visit on Christmas Eve (brunch and dinner on December 24 and brunch on December 25), where the a la carte menu will also be available at from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
