Please enjoy a clean website that reads Steam reviews to you

Review Reader is a very fun website that allows you to access any Steam game you want, and have some of its user reviews read aloud to you the soothing sounds of a text-to-speech program.

The website-Thank you Gamer on PC– is pleasant to use for two reasons. First, its minimal presentation makes it very pleasing to the eye. And two, it keeps things interesting by shuffling the program every time you click, giving you a different voice every time you hear someone say “played 200 hours, refund request”.

Because I only like to read one type of Steam user reviews, the first game I launched was Battlefield 2042and was presented with stuff like:

Unfinished heap of garbage, they take us for morons. This game is an insult to the franchise.

I bought the $110 version of the game, played it for 2 days and went long on the 3rd day after completing an article, then I am greeted with a message that you are banned. I go to the EA website to find that I was apparently cheating. Later I found out that it was a false positive ban and that Razer Synapse was the cause. I went to appeal for a ban, but that’s never gonna happen. So basically I got $110 stolen from EA ♥♥♥♥ you

Which seem “normal” (or at least expected) when you read them, right? Only now it looks like they’re being read to you by clippy bartender droids in the star wars universe, culminating in the inclusion of the overall rating at the end of each. “Blah blah blah a robot voice telling how disappointed they are…thumbs down”.

In addition to Steam reviews, the site will also read you App Store reviews, if that’s your thing. you can check it here.
