The perfect detox/re-tox hotel
From its grand facade to its imposing lobby, the new Fairmont Windsor hotel is big (definitely massive) on everything — space, luxury, and hospitality. The hotel opened in early 2022 and everything there is shiny and pristine. It looks old, but it feels brand new. The surfaces shine, the gardens are immaculately maintained and the staff eager to impress. It has all the facilities you need for a decadent weekend – a full-service spa, a plethora of restaurants, even a confectionery and barber shop. If this hotel was a car, it would be a Bentley, expensive, sexy, spacious and yes, a little flashy.
Fairmont Windsor Park Hotel Reviews
Rooms and facilities
The rooms are really luxurious. Tastefully decorated with tactile textures and soft colors, they feature marble bathrooms, Le Labo products, and the most comfortable beds this reviewer has ever slept on.
The spa is really impressive. It’s huge and offers all the experiences you could want. A large indoor pool to float around in, a hot tub, a real steam room and all the usual steam, sauna and salt rooms. Oh and one of the only cryogenic chambers in the UK. Go with your friend or partner and see who can withstand three minutes of minus 110 degrees.
Food and drink
Bar 1215 is very Instagrammable – but it has style and substance – the cocktails are as good as they look. Afternoon tea in the pretty Orchid Tea Room is a big deal and there’s also the chic and more laid-back 1215 fine-dining restaurant MOREISH – which has a Middle Eastern vibe.
Hotel Highlights
Breakfast is beautifully done with every whim catered for and the best quality produce. The dapper doormen deserve a mention for a terrific welcome, as do the beautifully designed nooks and crannies where guests can relax for a drink.
What to do nearby
Windsor Castle – obviously – and for those with kids, Legoland is nearby. For horse riding enthusiasts, there is Royal Windsor Racecourse and Ascot Racecourse.
Best for
A detox/retox weekend or a luxury pre/post holiday getaway – Heathrow Airport is 20 minutes away
