Hotel Gansevoort Hotel Review 2022

Feeling a little tired from our flight, we were eager to go up to the roof for refreshments and take in the stunning views of the IRL skyline. Then there’s the heated pool, you’ll be happy to know that this urban oasis is accessible only to guests, extra points for exclusive vibes!

With an itinerary packed with restaurants and places to visit on this short trip, training just wasn’t on the agenda, but for those who travel for work and need to stay on track with their fitness goals, the 24-hour gym and in-room smart interactive mirror comes in very handy, as well as the large workspace essential for those working here for business and pleasure.

But enough talk of work, the time has come for our highly anticipated dining experience at the Saishin Sushi restaurant also on the rooftop, which is accessed through a seemingly hidden entrance revealing a more private space, a really nice touch!

On the menu was the Omakase tasting menu, expertly prepared in front of you, the epitome of dining in style. I recommend you try everything, including the sea urchin, you won’t regret it. But you might regret not ordering the fusion cocktails to go with your meal, the Sake-Margarita was my favourite.

The only disappointment with our stay was that it wasn’t long enough, and the top notch customer service made us feel like rockstars, and that alone will keep me coming back, so if you’re planning a city break with your plus one or the besties, Gansevoort certainly won’t disappoint. A lot can happen in a minute in New York.
