Daniel Galvin Kensington Salon Review

Sometimes when looking for a hairdresser you want something fancy, exciting, and different. Other times you just want a cut that’s good, really good. This is what I was looking for – and I found – at Daniel Galvin.

Now don’t get me wrong Daniel Galvin has an extensive menu of colors, fits and treatments, but their fit really stood out to me.
There are four Galvin lounges above London and I visited the Kensington branch, a little off the main drag. Simplicity is the order of the day and the service is warm and friendly. While holding a prestigious name above the door, there is no presumption or presumption, you are greeted as one of them.

The living room has a bright and airy waiting room, a back room for washing and another room for cutting. Its basement is set up for large groups such as hen parties and is very popular. There are eighteen hairdressing stations in total and each has been carefully designed to fit into the ‘home away from home’ vibe. Daniel Galvin Hair Salon

My stylist sat me down and asked me what I wanted from my hair – (save! Was my answer). My hair was dry and brittle and having fairly thin hair anyway wasn’t doing me a favor.

She had a good exam and asked how much I would be happy to lose. We went for a length and I will gladly report that it has stuck with that length unlike past experiences where an extra three inches have been cut.

An assistant drove me to the back for a wash and a conditioning hair mask (which smelled utterly divine!) Before the stylist cut my locks. She added layered, neat side bangs and showed me how to style it in a way that produced the most volume. She was friendly, kind and knew exactly what she was doing.

The end result was amazing – my hair looked healthier than it had been in months and the style really suited my features. I would not hesitate to come back here for any kind of treatment, style or color. Not only are they friendly and welcoming, the prices are reasonable and you feel super special from the moment you walk into the living room until the moment you exit it.
