Salon review

Criticism of the Linnean Salon | Style

We found it the most instagrammable spa in London. Designed by Martin Brudnizki (aka the interior designer behind Annabel’s), Linnaean in New Development Nine Elms is a one stop shop for all your beauty needs. Inside, it’s a social media influencer’s dream with interiors of pale pinks, baby blues, gold finishes, and a flower-covered roof.

Although you can go for the blow, we recommend that you stay for the treatments. More precisely, the deep tissue massage, which will loosen the tightest knots, those that one strives in front of a laptop 24/7. The therapist uses serious pressure, hitting muscles we didn’t even know existed. Treatment rooms come with a choice of two playlists designed by musical architects, and the floral theme continues in the rooms – certainly a change from the standard white or muted tones and music on hold from the phone. If massages aren’t your thing, you’ll also find a hair salon, nail stations, makeup, waxing, facials, and a range of medi-spa treatments like microneedling. .

Once you’re done at the spa, we suggest heading to the cafe and checking out some of the healthy, gluten-free AF lunch options like the Goodness Bowl with melon seed crackers, quinoa, guac, beet hummus, a mixed salad, watermelon pickle radish, raw vegetables and spiral zucchini topped with lime and cashew mayonnaise. Basically a treatment for your bowels in a bowl. Pair it with any of the juices and you’ll feel holier than you are. Just avoid those huge cakes on your way out …
