Eco-effort
With a building that has reinvented itself many times over, the Salisburys have taken particular care to retain the redeveloped nature of the site. In addition to concerted efforts to adorn interiors with antiques and vintage furniture; they recycled as much as possible during the construction process and used recycled materials around the interiors, including wood for the floors. In the rooms you will find British-made Bramley products, inspired by the English countryside and made from 100% biodegradable and cruelty-free ingredients and recyclable packaging.
Accessibility for people with reduced mobility
The entrance to the hotel is accessible by a step from street level, but once inside everything is adapted for people with reduced mobility. The bar and restaurant are on the ground floor and a lift from the lobby is available for those unable to use the stairs.
Anything else to mention?
The bar is a great spot for lazy breakfasts and evening cocktails, but as of early 2022 the main restaurant is the place to be. Offering a casual menu, it sits under the gaping skylight, leaving a bright, open-plan room perfect for remote work, cozy suppers, or a few drinks.
