Xperia Z Pre-order Priced at £529, Three Goes Cheaper

Sony have launched the pre-orders for their upcoming flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z. You can pre-order the phone on Sony’s store online and will set you back at £529 for the sim-free version in either Black, White or Purple. The smartphone is set for release February 28.
The UK network Three also have the device for pre-order with set plans for 24 month contracts and a reduced sim-free price of £449. You can see the price plans down below. O2 are also selling the purple colour exclusively against other partners though will set you back an extra £30.
Sony currently have an incentive for new customers to lock into a contract whereby the first 1,000 customers who pre-order between February 1 – February 25 will be rewarded with a free set of Sony’s MDR-1R headphones with their handset — worth £200 ($315) no less.
The headphones are part of Sony’s new line of headphones unveiled at CES 2013 and can be had for a limited time in 3, O2, Carphone Warehouse and Phones4u.
The Xperia Z is a very premium device with high end specifications include a 5″ 1080p (Full HD) Reality Display as they call it – one of the first devices to have that large of a screen and that high of a display resolution – a 1.5GHz Krait quad-core processor with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro Chipset, 13MP Exmor RS Camera with HDR mode for video recording, 2 GB RAM and a 2330MAh battery.
