UK Top 20 Charts: Sniper Elite Holds For The Second Week

Sniper Elites V2

505 Games continues where it left off last week by staying on top with Sniper Elite V2 for a second week. The game managed to hold after a 40% decline week-over-week though it’s really spotted reduction in price is sure to paint a picture of next weeks position. EA’s dominance in the top 10 is still present though split at the top with Prototype 2 sandwiched at number 4 and FIFA Street leading the EA pack. Kinect Star Wars holds again at 7, sitting comfortably.

For the top 10, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations leapfrogs Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 at 10, meaning MW3 drops outside at 11 whilst Battlefield 3 stays firm for another week at 9. It was disappointing at Sony and Santa Monica Studios camp as debut Starhawk charted at a disappointing 17. The successor of Warhawk got solid reviews however didn’t translate well into sales – the supply shortage at the biggest retailers would have affect it’s launch as reported by users.

Finally, SSX continues to drop as it finishes at number 19 whilst Gran Turismo 5′s stint in the chart ended this week at 24. Meanwhile, last week’s debut at 33 for Mortal Kombat on the PS Vita slipped outside the top 40, leaving no PS Vita title in the charts again this week.
