UK Top 20 Charts: Prototype 2 Becomes Activision’s First Number 1 This Year

Activision’s Taken the top spot for the first time this year, with rival company EA dominating the top 5 for much of the year so far. Prototype 2 comes in at nuber 1 on it’s début, buoyed by an early global release on the Tuesday whilst other games launched on the usual Friday. EA takes the next 3 spots with the FIFA series whilst Microsoft’s Kinect Star Wars drops 1 place to 5th. Last week’s number 1 The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings falls 5 places to 6th.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 fell 4 places and out of the Top 10 at number 14, which is Activision’s nearest ranked title. Moshling Monster’s: Moozling Zoo still holds at 16th for Nintendo’s handheld whilst Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception creeps back into the Top 20 at 19th. F1 2011 also moves up to round the Top 20. Note that Zumba falls outside the rankings at number 21, whilst things continue to look worse for Sony’s PS Vita as no game appears in the Top 40.
