UK Charts: Black Ops 2 Fends Off Far Cry 3 & Hitman: Absolution
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 remains on top for a 3rd consecutive week, as sales fell 35% week-on-week. That was still enough to beat newcomer Far Cry 3 which debuted at number 2 and became the 9th biggest launch of 2012. Just behind FIFA 13 is Hitman: Absolution, coming in at number 4. FIFA 13 sits at 3rd for the 4th consecutive week, with sales up 19% as the Wii U version release buoyed sales.
Assassin’s Creed III however dropped 1 place into number 5 even though 2 SKU’s were available for the Wii U (Standard and Join or Die Edition). Just Dance 4 and LEGO Lord of the Rings switch places at 6th and 7th respectively whilst Halo 4 holds at number 8. Need for Speed: Most Wanted makes the cut by rounding off the top 10.
4 Wii U versions of titles are in the top 10 (Black Ops 2, FIFA 13, Assassin’s Creed III and Just Dance 4) whilst 10 were inside the Top 40 including Nintendo Land (11), New Super Mario Bros. U (14) and ZombiU (17).
