New Releases – Warriors Orochi 3, Top Gun: Hard Lock and Kinect Star Wars

April 6 2012 – This week, Koei releases Warriors Orochi 3, one of the few the highlight of new releases. The ‘Bond System’ is something new to the series where 120 playable characters have a dynamic relationship where interactions play a part in each relationships. Featuring Dynasty and Sumarai Warriors, it’s the ultimate hack and slash title.
Top Gun: Hard Lock makes a revival as it’s been a good 10 years plus since it’s debut on the PS2. If you like action-packed jet fighting gameplay, check it out. Finally, the long awaited Kinect Star Wars makes its debut on the Xbox 360 along with a Limited Edition console bundle so now you can get as close to holding a lightsaber and ‘feel the force’. Another mention we should give is Dante and his revival in the Devil May Cry HD Collection – before the reboot of the series from Ninja Theory, Capcom releases the full series from the first to the third.
Warriors Orochi 3 (PS3, PC, Xbox 360) - Warriors Orochi 3 combines the much loved heroes of the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series in an all new story that, for the first time, features characters from Ninja Gaiden, Warriors: Legends of Troy, Bladestorm, Trinity: Souls of Zill O’ll and Dead or Alive! Years after the battle against Orochi, the Serpent King, the heroes of the Three Kingdoms and the Warring States struggle to seize control of the new universe they were thrown into, when a new treat arises! A terrible and colossal monster, resembling a serpent with eight heads casts its shadow across the land and defeats most of the brave warriors.
Top Gun: Hard Lock (PS3, Xbox 360) - Top Gun: Hard Lock is packed with a wealth of gameplay modes and features never before seen in a Top Gun-licensed title and features aerial dog-fighting at jet speed, with the flair of a modern day action movie blockbuster! Tail-gating MiGs at Mach 2, this mass market action game thrusts you right into the danger zone. The titular Hard Lock mode allows players to engage the enemy during dogfights, enabling them to lock on to targets and not only unleash their powerful arsenal of weapons, but also perform dazzling aerial combat manoeuvres such as barrel rolls, Immelmans, loop-the-loops and hard banks.
Kinect Star Wars (Xbox 360) - Feel the Force. You are the controller. Kinect: Star Wars brings Star Wars to life like never before. Harnessing the controller-free power of Kinect for Xbox 360, Kinect: Star Wars allows fans to physically hone their Jedi skills, wield the power of the Force in their hands, pilot iconic ships and vehicles, rampage as a vicious Rancor monster or even dance with iconic Star Wars characters.
