Nintendo Reveal 3DS Data Transfer Tool

There was a whole lot of information giving out during Nintendo’s recent Nintendo Direct feed but in the midst of new WiiU games and a HD remake for Wind Waker (everyone at Total Revue is still stunned!) there was a certain piece of information that 3DS owners will find interesting. Nintendo revealed that they plan to release a data transfer tool for 3DS that will allow users to transfer the save data from cartridge based games to a downloaded version of the game.

This certainly seems useful for players that, for whatever reason, have a digital and cartridge version of the same game. Nintendo have slated the 3DS data transfer tool for a March release in Japan with no details of a western release as yet.

So 3DS owners, does this appeal to you? Let us know in the comments below.
