Microsoft Expanding In-House Games Development

According to MCV, Microsoft is looking to open a new studio at their London base, most likely the Soho office where currently games development reside. They’re currently looking to hire “senior staff” to manage it, adding to the games resources available under Microsoft such as Rare and Lionhead.
“EMEA is a key market for us and we continue to cultivate the best talent and focus on growing our business,” said Microsoft to the trade magazine, “with this role focused on the continued expansion of our Microsoft Studios business in the region.”
No name has been given to the studio however it is known that the studio will focus on casual titles for Xbox and explore the free-to-play model.
