JP Charts: PS Vita Sales Buoyed Though 3DS Regains Lead

The 3DS LL regained the top spot after succumbing to the Vita last week. The price cut has buoyed sales beyond the 30,000 milestone though falls shy of the 3DS LL by just over 11,000 units. It firmly beats the 3DS by 15,000 units with the PS3 slightly behind in 4th place at over 20,000 units.
On the software front, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix launched exclusively for the PS3, a HD remake of the original and portable spin-offs though settled for 2nd place on it’s debut with 128,414 units. PS Vita exclusive Soul Sacrifice settled for 5th place after a strong debut of 121,517 units at launch. Sales dropped by just over 70% week on week.
God of War: Ascension entered at number 8 with 19,744 units, a somewhat underwhelming reaction compared to Europe and the US. (Read about our God of War: Ascension impressions)
