The Classics #1: Nostalgia with Crash Team Racing
Crash Bandicoot and his co. racers graces today’s Classics Weekend – Crash Team Racing. Having decided to boot it up yesterday, it drew inspiration for today as it’s been nearly 13 years since it’s release back in late 1999. Yup, a whole 13 years! Memories all came rushing back with familiar tracks, blocky graphics and downright outrageous fun back in the day.

Crash Bandicoot was such a huge character back in those days and I an honestly say, I’ve spent many many hours in this game. I also spent days racing Oxide and having to actually do a perfect race to even compete against the alien – one slip up and he speeds past you. Now that was hardcore racing! Bringing the game up on my PS3 just SCREAMED Nostalgia – nearly brought a tear to my eye and that Ratatouille moment (if you don’t know that reference, watch it!)

The racing and power-up concept that helped define many modern day racers today, Crash Team Racing was the ultimate racing game for the original Playstation. Can I get an ‘AMEN!’
