Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 Announced

Konami has just announced that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is currently being made by Mercury Steam. The game was unveiled via a new trailer during Konami’s pre-E3 2012 show, where they announced the game and the fact it was being released for both 360 and PS3.

The trailer showed the protagonist from the previous game fighting off a large army. The trailer teased the possibility of some new characters, and the president of Konami promised to share more information on the game as the year goes on.

The original Castlevania: Lords of Shadow was released in 2010 and received generally favorable reviews. Shortly after, Konami announced it had shipped 1 million units of the title. A sequel had been rumored soon after the first game’s release where Mercury Steam was said to have been working on the sequel.
