Call of Duty Black Ops II Dominates Entertainment of 2012 Chart

The entertainment charts of 2012 has been released, ranking all forms of media against each other in the past year, from games to movies to music. The star of the show was Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops II, bringing in a mammoth total that nearly reach 2.7 million sales with EA’s annual franchise FIFA 13 followed up closely at 2.6 million. The Dark Knight Rises grossed just short of 1.7 million sales during launch, a million off the top spot.

Runner-up was Twilight Sage at 1.5 million with Emelie Sande’s music album reaching 1.45 million sales. It was in close proximity from there as Now 83 (music), Avengers Assemble and TED grossed over 1 million. Taking the final spot was The Hunger Games at 946,000 copies.

There was also a good turnout for other gamess making a strong showing include Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed 3 – which shifted 886,198 copies – and Microsoft’s Halo 4, with 753,489.
