PS3 Skyrim players have been left cold by Bethesda’s seeming abandonment of the system following what can only be described as a mass breakout of bugs and glitches that rendered most players games unplayable. There is however some good news on the horizon for Skyrim fans on PS3 though. Bethesda has revealed that its new priority is to get Dragonborn on PS3. But what Bethesda give one hand, they take away with the other as they also revealed that they won’t be recommencing work on Dawnguard or Hearthfire until Dragonborn is working.

In a post from the Bethesda Blog, the publisher reiterated their support for all platforms and that they have re-evaluated which packs they want to work on.

“For those that are playing the content already, we hope you’re having a blast in Solstheim.”

“On PS3 in particular, we turned our attention to Dragonborn, as we thought it was the best content to release first, and we didn’t want folks to wait longer. Once it’s ready to go for everyone, we’ll continue our previous work on Hearthfire and Dawnguard for PS3.”

“Each one takes a lot of time and attention to work well in all circumstances and all combinations of DLC. Once we have a better idea of release timing and pricing, we’ll let you know.”

So at last PS3 players will get an extra slice of the Skyrim pie and not a moment too soon.
